“It feels like the ‘good old days’”, one parent remarked as we were cleaning after a recent picnic. She was very grateful for the opportunity to come out to beautiful White Rock Lake and spend a lovely time with all of our school families.
Attendance was very high, the weather just right, the activities fun and engaging, and the prasadam outstanding! We all needed – and enjoyed – the outdoor time together. Some of the new families met in person for the first time, aside from the quick encounters at pick up time, or the more formal setting of Back to School Night. Here, they got to get to know each other better, play, and eat together.
The obvious conclusion: we must have those outings more often!
